ANNALISE KLEIN, M.S.Ed
Fulbright DAST Fellow 2019

Annalise Klein is a science educator, currently teaching chemistry, AP Chemistry, and facilitating equity professional development at KIPP San Jose Collegiate in California, USA. Her classroom is a “living laboratory” for developing a social justice lens in science education to empower students as change agents in their own communities.
In Uganda, Klein is collaborating with science teachers on best practices around inquiry, interdisciplinary projects, and culturally-relevant teaching in STEM. In her career, she hopes to continue researching the impact of educational experiences that uniquely blend scientific practices with community-based learning, particularly in low-resource communities.

Klein holds a B.A. in chemistry and English from Hope College and a M.S. in secondary science education from Johns Hopkins University.
